In what would turn out to be his final match in DCW (before hanging up his boots in July with IWF) Dagon stepped out from behind the commentary table to have a competitive match with the Polish Party Prince - Jakub. It was a fun match with Dagon pulling out some strange tricks, but the youngster came out on top and scored the win.

ALAN SHAW DEF.  BJORNAR

With the Battle of Birtley Cup Tournament on his mind, Alan Shaw would step into the ring with a giant roadblock in the debuting, Bjornar! The giant viking would throw the king of the skies around the ring, but the speed of the 2x cup winner and former DCW Heavyweight Champion was too much for the giant, who succumbed to a springboard cutter. DCW OPENWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES MATCH

SPAWN DEF. RKID

in another warmup match before the Battle of Birtley Cup the next day, Spawn would put his Openweight title on the line against one half of the DCW Double Dropkick Tag Team Champions, as the Menacing Mod wanted to add to his trophy cabinet. However, one trip to B&Q later and The Living Nightmare would walk away with his championship reign intact and the cup in his sights! Momentum was definitely on his side going into the tournament!

JONNY FLASHBACK DEF.  SATCHEL JONES & CPL MANNERS

Jonny Flashback brought the power of love with him to round off the afternoon on our first day in Birtley as he managed to vanquish both a returning Rockstar Satchel Jones and debuting Cpl Manners. Flashback hit his trusty rewind elbow for the win.
